L’Oréal Beauty and the Beast Lipsticks

L'OréalFirst Clinique collaborate with Crayola, and now L’Oréal have come out with this Beauty and the Beast creation? I. Can’t. Even

L'OréalLet me firstly explain that I am a huuuuge Disney fan… So when I saw that L’Oréal were bringing out a limited edition range of lipsticks and nail polishes in line with the release of the new Beauty and the Beast film I knew I simply had to get the lipsticks. (Confessions of a Lipstick Addict)

Easier said than done! These beauties are extremely hard to get hold of, as they come all the way from Italy.  It is worth watching the website like a hawk, as even although the products are often out of stock, they usually come back into stock again reasonably quickly.  You have to be on the ball to grab them though!  They retail for EUR9.99, which at the time of writing is around £8.77.  There are seven lipsticks to collect: Belle, The Beast, Mrs Potts, The Rose, Lumiere, Cogsworth and Fifi.

On looking at the shades, I decided that I only wanted four of the seven. All the lipsticks are part of L’Oréal’s Colour Riche line, which I like anyway.  L’Oréal states that the Colour Riche lipsticks are “enriched with a combination of Omega-3 and Vitamin E” which claim to leave your lips feeling moisturised.  These lipsticks are certainly moisturising.

When I first went to purchase, all of the shades were in stock apart from one. However as I wasn’t quick enough off the mark I didn’t manage to get them at the same time, so had to pay for shipping three times (go figure)! Up to now, I have still only managed to get three of the ones I want – Belle, Lumiere and Mrs Potts. I now wish I bought all the others, purely for the pretty packaging, obvs.

L'OréalFrom some of the angles of my photographs, you may have noticed that Mrs Potts arrived badly damaged, and Lumiere slightly damaged, which I was not best pleased about. My Italian is not exactly up to scratch, so finding how to complain was not the easiest either!

Belle’s shade – “Perfect Red”…

L'OréalLumiere’s shade – “Sepia Silk”…

L'OréalMrs Pott’s shade – “Pink Fever”…

L'OréalSwatches, from bottom to top – Mrs Potts, Lumiere, Belle.  Belle and Mrs Potts are more pigmented than Lumiere, which gives more of a sheen to the lips.

Will you be trying to get hold of anything from this beautiful limited edition L’Oréal Beauty and the Beast collection? If so, what do you hope to get hold of?

      Hi Ellie,

The shipping worked out about £4 or so, which isn’t too bad I suppose since they’re coming all the way from Italy, but when you have to pay it three times is a bit of a pain! I’ve been checking the site and they have had most of the shades in stock at the same time recently so you’d only have to pay once for shipping hopefully! I’m so excited for the film too! x

As you know I bought 4 of them- Mrs Potts, Belle, Lumiere & Cogsworth but I certainly wish I’d bought the set to have the pretty packaging… I don’t even know if I can bring myself to using them. 🙈 Have you?

    Love Coco xxx

I’ve used my damaged Mrs Potts, as they replaced her! Apart from that I’ve not used them! I’m still trying to get hold of one more! xx
